In Tokyo they are really into their foods and one of the most popular meals you can get is a bowl of rice. The other popular foods people enjoy in Tokyo are a wide variety of different fish, eel and also several kinds of noodles. Food is very important to the people of Tokyo and another popular food that they enjoy is Sushi. Sushi and Sashimi are usually limited down to the people of japan to eat . They still eat there fish and noodles but not always. Sushi and sashimi are the foods they will eat on a regular basis.
One of the things people in Tokyo do is follow the centuries-old tradition. The tradition they follow is that you can't step on small mats that are made of reed. Doing this will be shown as bad behaviour and it is disrespectful to the Japanese people.

In Tokyo, Education is very important to their people. It is compulsory for Children from the beginning of eight years old, to attend elementary (Primary) School everyday. The main aim for the kids at elementary and secondary schools is to win the ultimate prize. And that prize is getting into a very good university. They believe getting into that will automatically set their lives up and they will become successful. But the exams are very tough. Over two million students compete in these exams for a spot in the universities. There are over 100 universities in Tokyo which is about a quarter of Japan's total. One of those collages is the University of Tokyo. This University is very tough to get in and the acceptance rate is 24.8% and there is 28,113 people enrolled in this collage. Another one of the universities is Sophia university. This is a private research university and the acceptance rate is 21% while there is 11,986 students enrolled.
